About Us

IBILE is a contemporary pop-up dining restaurant dedicated to showcasing the vibrant flavours of West African cuisine. At IBILE, we creatively combine locally sourced Irish ingredients with authentic West African recipes and spices. The name "IBILE" , translates to "traditional" in Yoruba, reflecting our commitment to honouring our roots. Our mission is to stay true to our heritage, both in our menu offerings and in the service we provide.

As we embark on this journey to bring West African cuisine into the mainstream, we will host a series of thoughtfully curated pop-ups.

Founder's Profile

IBILE was founded by Tolu Asemota, a first-generation Irish-Nigerian immigrant. After studies, Tolu travelled the West Coast of America, working front of house in restaurants. This is where he was first introduced to the hospitality industry. In 2023, Tolu partnered with Chef Olufunke Oroyinyin, who successfully ran her own west african catering business for 18 years. Along the way we’ve grown the team adding Chef Nehemie Kibabu. Together, we share a unified vision: to bring West African cuisine to the mainstream while preserving its authenticity and honouring the cultural richness of every dish we create.
